Can I share something with you that might make you think not-so-highly of me?
Normally, I dread Christmas.
I know. I know. How can I say such a thing?
I’m not happy about it, and quite honestly I’m embarrassed to even admit it, but it’s the truth.
It’s not the meaning of Christmas I dread. After all, if there was no Christmas then there would be no Easter. And without Easter I would still be a very lost soul.
It’s just that Christmas now-a-days, since I’ve become an adult, is a lot of work! The baking and wrapping and buying and decorating and hosting and giving and making and on and on and on. By the time Christmas Day arrives I’m so exhausted that I can’t even slow down enough to enjoy it!
When I read Sarah Beals new eBook Merry Christmas, Meager Budget I was so happy that she shared her own struggles with finding joy in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. Sarah writes, “It had become a test of stamina instead of a joyous holiday”. At least I’m not the only one!
In Merry Christmas, Meager Budget, Sarah and her sister Beth show us how we can turn these feelings of exhaustion and dread into feelings of eager anticipation by focusing on frugality, creativity, thoughtfulness, and simplicity.
This eBook is jammed packed with resources and information including budgeting for Christmas, simple Christmas crafts, ideas of children, homemade gifts, decorating ideas, and so much more!
What I especially found helpful were the homemade gift ideas. You know how sometimes homemade gifts are a little cheesy? You know what I mean, right? Well, not these! Sarah and Beth include homemade gift ideas that you would actually want yourself and not be embarrassed to give to your friends and family. Some of these gifts are ornaments, an apron, a recipe in a bottle, DIY personalized mugs, Mason jar sewing kit, a ribbon bookmark, and a no sew scarf!
Add to all of that tons of recipes, Advent scripture verses for children, and even printables for gift tags and labels!
This 117 page eBook is on sale now for $3.99! It is such a bargain for all the information you get! Just visit Joy Filled Days here to get your copy and to get a copy for a friend or family member!
